London Silverbacks Join WMLF to Show That They Rule the Jungle
April 16, 2013. Hilton Head, SC – In the wake of tragedy that happened at the end of the Boston Marathon, more history was made to show the world that you can’t damper the spirits of the people in North America as Matt Hill, WMLF Expansion Director, announced early this morning that the London Silverbacks of London, Ontario, Canada, have join the expanding jungle known as World Minor League Football!
“This is our second confirmed Canadian football team to join our league and will compete primarily in WMLF Canada. I know there are several WMLF teams in the US that will look forward to scheduling games against them as well!” Matt Hill exclaimed.
“We’re excited that the Silverbacks are coming to our family! The league is growing by leaps and bounds and if you blink, you’ll miss something when it’s concerning WMLF!” an elated Commissioner Dickerman said.
When asked why he wanted to become a part of the WMLF family, Silverbacks owner Scott Knight had this to say, “An opportunity to affiliate with a League with common interests – to foster the growth of American Football in Canada – provide a place for post-education players to continue their careers and fulfill their love of the game – maintain the sense of family and camaraderie that one experiences as part of a football team while contributing back to their community and being a positive role model for today’s youth.”
The football jungle known as WMLF continues to grow, not just domestically, but internationally as well.
